❤️ 5 STEPS TO HEAL YOUR ROOT CHAKRA ❤️
The Root chakra (Muladhara in Sanskrit) is located at the base of your spine and the color frequency is RED.
This chakra represents being present, safe & secure in your physical body and in your physical world. It is about getting all of your needs met, having stability and feeling secure with yourself. The Root is what makes up your FOUNDATION and it is the survival center in your body. If you are not feeling safe, it triggers the fight, flight, or freeze response. This is the primal, animal nature of survival.
As an infant, if you were raised with the basic needs such as love, food, water, shelter, safety, and had your emotional needs met, most likely you feel grounded, safe and secure within yourself and in the world.
If your environment as a young child was chaotic, your caregivers were emotionally unstable, or withheld attention or love, then you might presently lack trust and security within yourself and in the world. This leads to blockages and imbalances in your Root chakra and your overall energy field.
This imbalance in your Root chakra can definitely be healed with doing some work on yourself. This is ultimate self-care, self-love because you are taking the steps for growth and personal development. So let me tell you the 5 steps that I have found to be crucial to my ROOT CHAKRA healing.
🌟 1. MINDFUL MEDITATION
Sit comfortably and close your eyes 3/4 of the way (this is for you to be aware of all your senses, including sight). Focus your gaze a foot beyond the tip of your nose. Take 3 deep breaths, inhaling through the nose, exhaling through the mouth. After the 3 deep breaths, breathe normally and gently through the nose.
Notice the texture of your BREATH. Is it deep, shallow, shaky, smooth?
Notice and follow the physical sensations in your body. Acknowledging your body is a great way to develop safety within yourself. “I’m noticing my arm is tingling. I feel you arm and I deeply appreciate you….I’m noticing that my head is aching. Thank you for the message and I deeply acknowledge you.” By talking to your body, the communication gives your body a sense of security and love.
Notice your thoughts as they arise. Whatever comes up, whether it be negative or positive, simply notice them and say “oh…how interesting.” Then go back to your breath. At times your mind may chatter non-stop during the entire meditation. That’s okay. Just be aware of it and then remind yourself to go back to your breath. The point of this is not to judge, shame or guilt yourself for what is coming up. But if you do notice yourself doing that, just be aware of it and go back to your breath. This type of consciousness is training your subconscious mind that whatever you are doing, you approve of yourself.
5-15 minutes a day of Mindful Meditation can entirely shift your internal world. It is a practice, just like going to the gym or improving any skill. Keep at it, stay consistent and watch your inner and outer world grow beautifully each day. You will stay calm, grounded and strong with whatever comes your way.
🌟 2. POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Saying POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS are a way to reprogram your subconscious mind with beautiful messages. When you repeatedly say them, OVER TIME you will have a new belief about yourself.
I can suggest you saying positive affirmations after meditation because you are more relaxed and receptive to these messages. Here are some grounding ROOT CHAKRA affirmations that have been helpful in my personal life.
I am incredibly loved.
I am safe to be in my body.
I am worthy.
I am valuable.
I am heard.
All my needs are met.
I am connected to Source.
All is well.
Everything is working out for me.
🌟 3. VISUALIZE THE UNIVERSE/ SOURCE IN YOUR ROOT CHAKRA
This is something that I have recently discovered and I’m excited to share this with you. Imagine that the entire galaxy swirling inside your ROOT CHAKRA. The whole Universe is within you! Then imagine this galaxy within expanding outside of your body, growing and growing out into the Infinite. You are totally GROUNDED, EXPANSIVE and connected to SOURCE! This is a powerful practice to do all the time.
🌟4. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR ROOT CHAKRA
Another way to build a strong FOUNDATION with your Root chakra is to communicate with that part of the body to see what messages it has. Tune into your ROOT after mindful meditation and ask “What messages do you have for me? What do I need to do to feel safe, strong and grounded?” Listen for the answer, perhaps journal about it and make it into a daily AFFIRMATION.
🌟 5. CHAKRA CLEARING/ ENERGY HEALING
Sometimes a little bit of energy work can help you uncover the ROOT cause for your blockages or imbalances in the body. With the type of Chakra Clearing work I do, I get messages on what might be blocking you from the Angels. Suppressed or repressed memories may arise from it to free itself from your body. That is what your body wants…to feel more freedom. The key is to uncover the old beliefs and replace them with new, beautiful ones to make your stronger, more courageous and bold! You will make room for new opportunities and energies to flow synchronistically into your world. You will be able to take the ACTION STEPS that are more in alignment with you.
