Grounding. It's what we need more of. When we go through our awakening and spiritual journey, we see deeply what we want to transcend. This can be painful and that's okay. Know that you are safe as you go through these emotions of fear, doubt, anger, depression, sadness, jealousy, resentment and so on. These painful emotions come up to be our teachers, even if they don't feel like it.
As you go through these feelings, it is so easy to get caught up in our heads with constant obsessive thoughts. When you catch yourself doing so, the first thing that must be done is to acknowledge it and to ground yourself into your body.
I ground myself hourly to feel present and to know that I am safe in my body. This is super important because as an Empath I am feeling my emotions as well as other people's energies. It really helps me stay present and focused on what is right in front of me. This is how I practice presence and self-mastery.
I'd like to share a book that I have been reading which has significantly shifted my perspective on how I respond to things instead of react. It is called The Heart of the Soul by Gary Zukav and Linda Francis. Instead of acting out in my usual anger & resentment, I allow myself to feel my emotions in my body and ground myself into them.
